DropSignal is in development and is not yet accepting public user accounts. We will update this policy before public launch if our data practices change.
1. Scope
This policy applies to the DropSignal mobile applications, website, and related services. DropSignal is intended for users in the United States. It does not govern a retailer’s website, app, checkout, or privacy practices.
2. Information we collect
Account and authentication
When accounts become available, we may process your email address, authentication-provider identifier, account status, and security or session records needed to sign you in and protect the service. Apple, Google, and email providers process information under their own policies.
Your deal radar
We store the retailers, categories, brands, minimum discount, local radius, quiet hours, and notification-privacy settings you choose.
Local-deal settings
You may provide a ZIP code or optionally permit device location for nearby offers. Precise location is not required and is not intended to create a movement history.
Device and notifications
We may process a push token, installation identifier, device platform, app version, language, time zone, permission status, and delivery or receipt metadata so alerts can reach the right authenticated installation.
Alert interactions and support
We may record when a released alert is viewed, saved, or opened at a retailer, along with support communications and service-security events. Retailer outbound links are operational and do not contain DropSignal affiliate attribution.
Subscription status
Apple or Google processes purchases. DropSignal and its billing service provider may receive product, entitlement, renewal, expiration, cancellation, refund, and transaction-reference information needed to grant the correct plan. We do not receive your complete payment-card details.
3. How we use information
- Provide, personalize, secure, and maintain your account and deal radar.
- Match eligible signals to your preferences, location settings, plan, and quiet hours.
- Deliver push notifications and measure operational delivery, opening, and staleness.
- Maintain subscription access and support purchases or restores.
- Investigate errors, abuse, reliability, security, and service performance.
- Respond to support, privacy, and account-deletion requests.
DropSignal is not designed to sell personal information, serve behavioral advertising, or build third-party advertising profiles.
4. When information is shared
We may use service providers for hosting, databases, authentication, crash and security operations, push delivery, transactional email, and subscription management. Providers may process information only to perform services for DropSignal under applicable contracts and safeguards.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, in connection with a corporate transaction, or with your direction or consent. Opening View deal sends you to the retailer; the retailer receives information your browser or device ordinarily sends when visiting its page.
5. Retention and security
We intend to retain personal information only as long as needed for the service, security, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and legitimate operational records. Retention periods may differ by record type and provider obligation.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the sensitivity of the information. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Your choices and rights
You can change your radar, local settings, quiet hours, and lock-screen privacy in the app; disable system notifications through device settings; and manage or cancel subscriptions through Apple or Google.
When public accounts launch, the app will provide account deletion. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain personal information by contacting us. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
See our account-deletion instructions for more detail.
7. Children
DropSignal is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the service develops. The revised version will show a new update date, and we will provide additional notice when required.
